Here are some show ideas courtesy of moi:
1) Need a fair tax show.
2) Love shows bashing lazy people. Would like to hear a show specifically bashing lazy people who are collecting disability that don't deserve it. (You know you can get disability for being a friggin alcoholic? What a load of crap)
3) How about a speaker from the Libertarian party?
4) and finally...maybe you guys could take an hour or two to address how to pick up young co-eds while cruising on the Miracle Strip and what time to show up to Club La Vela if you want to be on MTV's Spring Break.
Just some suggestions ;D

Anything that breaks the mold of "Conservative" radio shows. We have plenty of those already, thanks.
Fair tax would be good, if Boortz hadn't beaten that dead horse to a pulp.
How about "cause-a-week?" Once a week, someone from a local action group, ministry, or nonprofit organization gets an hour or so to talk and field calls.

That's kind of my thought - I do, too, but imagine mixing "legitimate" nonprofits with people who just "have a cause," and the stranger the better. Tony Cooper from Jimmie Hale Mission followed by some guy who is trying to raise awareness of the extraterrestrials among us. Or jules followed by that preacher who was praying for Vulcan to collapse.

I can imagine a "round table" between them and Alethia House or the Mormons...

how about getting your favorite guest on guys?? The wicked witch herself from the Westboro Baptist church... We have had more than enough of those freaks around here. The protested the funerals of four young girls who were killed in a SCHOOL BUS crash. Nothing to do with gays, or the war. It was a BUS crash!!!

how about getting your favorite guest on guys?? The wicked witch herself from the Westboro Baptist church... As a Christian, I would not want her on tv or radio. She doesn't represent Christianity accurately or even close but is a gross mischaracterization to the point of absurditiy and therefore gives people a very defective impression. It would be entertaining but short term pleasure isn't worth the long term gain.

Talk about what the pharmaceutical companies are doing -- how the medical field is controlled by the drug companies. Talk about the percetage of the population on prescription drugs -- a special segment on the number of children/teenagers on prescription drugs. Let's hear how parents are too often drugging their children as an easy way to keep them controlled.j
Dumbing the public down with drugs and more drugs.

Because the AEA will be (or is already there) in legislature wanting more money for teachers, talk about what the teachers are now making. Be sure to include the kind of insurance (medical and dental) they have and the cost of that to taxpayers. Talk about number of days worked, # of holidays, etc. Also, discuss the retirement package. Give lots of figures. Today when the salary figure is given, the cost of insurance is not taken into account. And the insurance benefit is huge. Let's hear what the full package already is and compare it to average Alabama citizen.

I never think of having the deep desire to throttle someone as enjoyable...

They need to face somebody in public media that knows enough about the Bible to refute how they present their arguments. There is no doubt that they are a cult and are extreme. That of course is the problem, the media likes to give them a soapbox so that some people can look at them and discount Christianity in disgust, which is understandable. I would say that the media especially provides them a soapbox in regards to the homosexuality issue. This way there is guilt by association for other religious people that also take issue with homosexuality.

Something that worked well in PCB the few times we had her on was a dream interpreter. It's was obviously a more relaxed, Friday show, but the audience loved her and it was fun to hear people call in with their crazy dreams and usually (I know in my case) she hit the nail right on the head. Would that be something you guys would be interested in?

Talk about what the pharmaceutical companies are doing -- how the medical field is controlled by the drug companies. My father has worked in Pharmaceutical sales for +40 years; I have never seen any evidence of him controlling the 'medical field'. However, in those 40 years, I have witnessed pharmaceutical companies going from leaving pens and pads at the doctors' offices to feeding entire offices, paying for advertising in magazines, TV, radio and newspaper, offering physicians trips and prizes for prescribing the medications that have been detailed. That's a big reason pharmaceuticals are so expensive (outside of R&D). It's a bad practice; my father does not allow his representatives to do that, and his products are not marketed to the consumer.

90% of the time, we'll be hammering on the "pigs," as it were. But every now and then, I believe it's good to take a break from politics and have a little fun. Be...for lack of a better word..."goofy." Why would the Christians get offended by a dream lady? PCB is in the bible belt too, remember. I mean, I understand this is the buckle and all, but they enjoyed it.

I think you should have some of the local politicos on the show each friday. They could field calls from the audience, and so bring government to the public in a one on one way... Or if that gets too boring, just have one of them Holy Roller churches bring in a sack full o' snakes and throw them all over everyone... Then we could hear some real good cussin'...
Sure ratings...

Well, for those that have read the bible, there are numerous instances of dreams being interpreted by people, their own and others. Joseph and Daniel being two of the noted ones and they were not considered to be witches or sorcerers. So, you may have some biblically illiterate folk come on and complain ignorantly. Just bring up Joseph and Daniel and that should end it.

Circus comes to town next week. Please discuss on show before next week the life of circus animals. How are they treated? What kind of life is it for animals to travel up and down interstates in the backs of 18 wheelers? Large animals with no place for exercise, etc. And all so people can "look" at them.
Please discuss this issue.

Those of us who've heard it over and over might find it less interesting, but I believe that the more people who can be introduced to the idea of a FairTax the better. Taxation is definately one of my beef issues, especially when presented in the same light about the girl talking to her father about social programs example. (I loved that story btw, was it Dixie that posted it?) The guv'ment spends WAY too much of our money and acts like its the right of the guv'ment to decide how WE spend our money. I'm sick of all the "fear" mongoring and sympathy cards that are played in order to convince us that we have a BIG problem with "pick-your-fearful-money-grabbing tactic of the week" which can only be solved by spending MORE OF YOUR MONEY!! Grrrrr.... someone give me a nail to chew on will ya?
