twista, it was on my school transcript...and my parents were called in to school for a conference about sending me to a school somewhere in the ivy league area, they didnt tell me the actual score at that time i saw it later, but they did tell me i scored very high.
also scored real high on some music test they gave in 5th grade and scored in the top 1% on the testing done by the USAF as an adult.
the last time tested was in college with the verbal IQ at age 26, in the 30 years since i have continued to read daily and keep myself informed.
by the way folks, an active mind is NOT really a blessing, i am required to input stuff daily, i never understood why anyone wouldnt want to learn about the world around them, but with age it gets tiring not being able to relax and go with the flow.
ignorance is indeed bliss from my perspective.
by the way i also understand that EVERYBODY is ignorant about over 98% of the total knowledge humans have, just about differing things.
we ALL were born butt naked and knowing NOTHING, everything we are is "learned".
i think the reason i am this way is because of the way i was raised very early in life, many females around my home as a baby and i got held, talked to, and loved very much in my first few years, THAT is the most important phase of life when it comes to intelligence, a tiny bit is inborn the rest is what happens after being born.
just like abused kids can turn into charles manson, richard speck, etal....babies that gets lots of attention are exceptional in the other direction.
i majored in psychology just to try to understand my own mind used the the most at poker tables i must admit...lol!

"somewhat less judgemental than most other people..."Of course they are...people that are insecure about being judged, tend to not judge other people. The question then becomes are they insecure about being judged or insecure because their actions are "judge-able". Hmm... I'll let you be the judge of that... "And interestingly, most gay people I know are pretty secure with their sexuality, and don't mind being teased (or teasing straight people) about it, one way or the other."Yeah, ok, I just find it juvenile, regardless if the teasing is coming from a gay person. Juvenile is bad? Or is it the teasing in general? "bland and uninteresting"Ok, if you think perversion equates to being "spicy" and interesting. I am sure there are plenty of forums and websites on the Internet that cater to that sort of thing. Hmm... May have to check them out someday, but I feel pretty comfortable with my buddies here and a couple of other forums I frequent... ("Spicy"... What an interesting choice of words... I would have chosen colorful, or illuminating, or maybe even unexpected...)

Twister
You used the words, "bland and uninteresting" and all I did was just give the logical opposite. Nothing to read into there, try as you might.
I would consider juvenille behaviour as being negative for an adult. What I don't like about your humor is the fact that it is not accurate. A forum member can be talking about gay sex, I reply that it's disgusting to me and you would throw out a joke about how we need to suspend our pillow talk, yuck, yuck, yuck. It's the application of your humor where the implication is not present that is juvenile. I don't want to be a part of it and will continue to point it out when you do it. Why? For the same reason why I would tell another person that their joke was lame.
"Hmm... I'll let you be the judge of that..."
Hmm, you are good at judging that other people are judgemental, so give it a try.

I see... I've never seen my transcript. Heck, I don't even know if that school exists anymore... But I wouldn't advise a school kid to do too well on any testing by the armed forces (ASVAB?). Those recruiter folks will bother the hell out of you if you do too well on those tests... LOL the last time tested was in college with the verbal IQ at age 26, in the 30 years since i have continued to read daily and keep myself informed. by the way folks, an active mind is NOT really a blessing, i am required to input stuff daily, i never understood why anyone wouldnt want to learn about the world around them, but with age it gets tiring not being able to relax and go with the flow. ignorance is indeed bliss from my perspective. Have to disagree with you there... LOL I LOVE learning new stuff, no matter how mundane or seemingly unimportant it is. There is just so much going on that I can't resist, and never have enough time to explore it all. Case in point, was this evening as I was checking out the experiment into the success of different types of raised bed garden plots I'm trying out this year. Four different types of building materials (concrete block with pavers as an additional weed barrier, double layer treated lumber frame, single deep layer treated lumber, and the usual landscape timbers at varying heights) Each plot has different sections using different "made" soil formulations to compare friability, water holding (important w/ raised beds), nitrogen availability, and general health of the plantings. (Garlic seems to do best in a mixture of composted cow manure, compressed coconut hull fiber, and garden soil in equal amounts, with only a one inch layer of rotted straw mulch). There is just so much to discover in a little thing like that, and so many questions to answer. Add some Kaolin to raise the cation exchange capacity? Change the placement of the starter fertilizer? Companion plant basil, and at what spacing to keep the pests at bay? I could go on for hours... LOL (And it just "juices the shit out of me" to do so! LOL) But at the same time I'm carrying the newborn baby, and studying the reaction of her eyelids when a "pecker nat" landed on one of them. Both eyes fluttered in an identical fashion that was facinating! (Got to read up on the development of facial musculature in babies!) Then it was over to the trees to check out if she still prefers sassafras aroma over cedar... She does.. But she has developed a semi-like for fresh onion over the last month, and shows less interest in rosemary and chocolate mint... Interesting... And as she falls asleep, it's time to check out the sounds that are soothing to her in a semi conscious state... "D's" and "R's" are like magic, while "S" sounds tend to keep her from going to sleep as fast (too bad sleep starts with an "S"! LOL). On a whim, I repeat "repetition" over and over and she goes down like a glass jawed pugulist! Damn... She went to sleep before we could compare the comfort level she gets from the texture of the Dogwood tree leaves compared to the Sycamore and Ash trees... Well, that burned up a half hour... LOL by the way i also understand that EVERYBODY is ignorant about over 98% of the total knowledge humans have, just about differing things. we ALL were born butt naked and knowing NOTHING, everything we are is "learned". I agree with that. I don't know anything about so many things, and it kills me that there isn't time to look into more... I would add that one can learn something from anyone, if they look hard enough. Another case in point, while I'm blabbering away... Years ago, I worked in a tourist oriented dinner club as a summer job. We served a lot of shrimp that we would have to peel and devein. We would prepare the shrimp ahead of time and store it in containers, and we found that after a few hours storage, there would be a semi-thick liquid that would leak from the shrimp, and would foam like crazy when we rinsed it away. Several of us gathered around and discussed what the liquid may be composed of, whether it was a concern for food safety, if we should measure it and figure that into portion cost shrinkage, and several other things. About that time, a rather dull headed dishwasher came walking by, and knowing he had worked on shrimp boats in the gulf for several years, we asked him to tell us about this mysterious liquid. "It's just slime." he said, and walked away... Duh... Reality check about what is important and what is not... I'll never forget how simple, yet unintentionally wise that was... LOL (and it gives one pause about that half hour I just rambled on about... and the time to type this too! Heh heh...) i think the reason i am this way is because of the way i was raised very early in life, many females around my home as a baby and i got held, talked to, and loved very much in my first few years, THAT is the most important phase of life when it comes to intelligence, a tiny bit is inborn the rest is what happens after being born. just like abused kids can turn into charles manson, richard speck, etal....babies that gets lots of attention are exceptional in the other direction. i majored in psychology just to try to understand my own mind used the the most at poker tables i must admit...lol! Absolutely! The critical first 2 years are so important in determining the direction of a loving and mentally healthy human being. And speaking of that, I hear on the baby monitor that it's about time for a little one to have a bottle and probably a discussion of the reflection and shadowing of the night light on various objects in her room. She probably won't understand a bit of it, but it will have a lot of "R's" and "D's" in it, you can bet! LOL...

Twister You used the words, "bland and uninteresting" and all I did was just give the logical opposite. Nothing to read into there, try as you might. Hmm... Actually I was hoping that would be something to spur a thought or conversation that would give some illumination into your thinking... Anyway... Yes. And the number is growing daily.

I took the ACT twice. I did increase my score by 2 points the second time over the first, which I'd think was probably due more to my familiarity with the test-taking process and not anything I might've learned as a senior (frankly, I was very bored with high school at that point, particularly if it wasn't history, science or literature classes).
IIRC, you could list a series of colleges/universities- up to maybe 5 or so- against which you wanted to compare your scores.
I remember putting down Marion Military Institute, Duke (my chemistry teacher, of whom I thought very highly, was a Duke graduate) and MIT.
I was at the 98% percentile at Marion, 90% or so at Duke and 45-50% at MIT. I distinctly remember those even 25 or so years later. It was about as tough on my ego being average to slightly below average at MIT as it is being average or slightly-below average height-wise in the NBA.
How this has anything to do with Iran is beyond me.
That said, how lawman's being a lesbian has anything to do with Iran is beyond me as well- unless the plan is to overthrow the government of Iran with lesbians (does that sound like a plan Howard Stern would come up with or what?).
