That the globe-trotting Atlanta man stricken with drug-resistant TB got into the country even after being identified by authorities as to his condition should now, more than ever, enrage people about the state of affairs regarding our national security.
Perhaps this will be the catalyst for real and lasting change, yet what is so amazing is that there are thousands of potential TB carriers crossing the borders every week. Perhaps the climate of political correctness mandated that someone other than an illegal immigrant be the focus of attention. Who knows?
That aside, I find it maddening that he was informed by the CDC as to his condition and was warned not to travel, yet did so anyway. The CDC says the man broke no laws and faces no charges. While I have compassion for his condition, he showed no such compassion for others in the he recklessly endangered the lives of many by his actions.
Are there really no laws on the books against reckless endangerment that criminalize his actions? This man knowingly exposed unsuspecting scores of people to a possible slow, agonizing, wasting death. This is the kind of selfish behavior exhibited by so many in our society today.
This should be dealt with...........................harshly.

Got your blood pressure meds handy?
I understand that the guy's father WORKS AT THE CDC!
His field of specialty is....TUBERCULOSIS!
Speculation is rife that his dad tried to convice the guy not to fly and may very well have tipped off US officials that his son had disregarded his advice.

I've heard part of this. I'm curious...father's specialty is TB...son comes down with a very resistant form of TB...TB is not just floating around at your average fast food joint...something stinketh.
