I had more faith in the South and had hoped that people had realized that the South was NOT the devil that history has taught us. To my mind the South was and still is the more patriotic part of the Country! I am sick and tired of the South being portrayed as the axes of evil! If people would take the time to research they might realize that the North was more pro slavery than the South! I personally am sick of the damned guilt of the gilt trip that is being forced on the South. Yeah I can hear it now, you must be KKK or something. How easily we have been brainwashed. It all boils down to ethics and morals. I do not give a rats A__ what your skin color is! If you are a person that gives a damn, that is honest, that is what I care about. The bottom line is it is NOT about color, it is NOT about where you come from it is ABOUT character!

Hmm... Typical angry southerner... LOL
But for most of the rest of the post I agree with you... (And a side note (of course!) The first town in the US that was incorporated by black people, was about 20 miles from where I was born. In the what you might call the north, though it was actually the western frontier at that time...)

dixie-
What can you reasonably expect when the government schools (most, even if not all) fail so utterly to teach kids much of anything besides self esteem?
Oh the kids are dumb as the proverbial post....but they sure do feel good about themselves.

What school teaches self esteem? I need to go back and get me some learnin' then...
No, they teach over-inflated self esteem. Like the schools that don't allow just one valedictorian because others would be hurt. I heard one school had 27 valedictorians.
