You can take this quiz and match up just where you come in line with major political figures of the day. It also tells you what you're technical political philosophy is based on certain criteria. Me, I'm a hard core Conservative and I also would vote very strongly in line with Tom Tancredo. www.speakout.com/VoteMatch/Senate2006.asp#sec0

The quiz results put me squarely in the Sam Brownback-Duncan Hunter camp.
At the bottom is Al Sharpton. My rating with him is a whopping 3%! And that's only because he hasn't taken a stance on SDI. When someone asks him and he states his opposition to it, I'll be at 0% agreement with Rev. Al. that's a mark of honor in my book....

.....of course, like all these type quizzes, a lot of the questions were worded in a way that forced an answer.

Kind of like ol' Tom Jefferson.

phin-
I noticed the same thing when I went to see how they calculated which politician my answers most closely matched.
I saw that one of the positions was "Support for prayer in public school" and that I had supported this position.
Funny....I don't remember that particular question being asked.
A little digging showed that what I had supported was the teaching of morals in public schools.
Now mebbe I'm wrong, but those two aren't necessarily the same thing.
Morality can be taught within the context of history, social studies, philosophy, metaphysics, comparative religion, biology and probably several other venues, none of which necessarily involve prayer.
You know the way I feel about push-polling. Or any kind of polling when it comes to that.

FACTS polls can be designed to get the answers the pollster wants by the wording of the questions.
that one little fact makes polls almost useless.

I love tests like this...
I'm a left-leaning libertarian who should consider Dennis Kucinich or Ron Paul. I'll read more into Kucinich...I don't really know much about him. As for Ron Paul, he had my vote the day he announced he was a candidate.
Ron Paul in 2008--Hope for America!

I found that, of all those candidates identified as "republican", my agreement with Ron Paul was at a whopping 20%- only slightly above Hillary Clinton.
Please note that the test identified me as a "hard core Conservative".
That should put to bed any thoughts that Paul is a Conservative.
The Republican Party is the true 'big tent' party, but Paul probably needs to find his own little pup tent out there somewhere....
As for Kucinich, nice to see that he brought his daughter to the gala affair.....

Duncan Hunter %68 Tom Tancredo %63 .....of course, like all these type quizzes, a lot of the questions were worded in a way that forced an answer. Duncan Hunter was 2nd on my list. Also, each question had relatively specific explanations when you clicked on it. That changed a few of my answers slightly when I saw what they considered 'support' 'oppose' and anything in between.
