TB like a lot of illness had been either eradicated or reduced to very low numbers here. Now, because of illegal immigration, they are on the rise. I know what it is to go through the immigration process LEGALLY because of my husband! He had to go to an INS designated physician and be checked out and if he did not have all of his shot records, had to have them again! Illegal immigrants are NOT checked for disease because no one knows who the hell they are or what they are carrying! Do I feel pity, sorry NO I DO NOT! Do it the right way or get the hell out of my Country!
Students Receive Tuberculosis Test Results
MUNFORD, Ala. -- More than 800 students in east Alabama who were tested for tuberculosis received the results Friday.
The students attend Munford Middle and High schools and received the results of the test in a sealed envelop to take home to their parents. On Tuesday, the students, along with faculty and staff, had to be tested.
Latricka Patton said she's glad her son has tested negative for tuberculosis.
"When they say TB, I know it's very contagious. I really wasn't nervous about anything,” she said.
"We're relieved to know that our child is ok. It does have us very concerned...We feel better with these in our hands,” said Joe Herd, whose child tested negative.
Meanwhile, the state health department said it plans to publish the official results of the tests sometime next week. The department said it needs time to sort through the data as well as identify any “false” positive results and would not confirm if any of the students tested positive.
Officials said they plan to release the test results sometime next week.
