Yeah, they're listed as "white" for purposes of criminal reporting. Way to skew the statistics, Alabama! I wonder who ordered that to happen?

Actually, I know that it appears to be that way on its face, but "hispanic" or "foreigner" is not an option for the race category when reporting arrests and crime statistics. "Hispanic" refers to an ethnicity, not a race, and a person can be white hispanic or black hispanic, take Cubans for example. Here's one even better. LAPD's most wanted list: www.lapdonline.org/top_ten_most_wanted1. Akopyan, Vahagan 2. Bonilla, Pedro Antonio 3. Campos, Fausto Adalberto 4. Contreras, Byron Adolfo 5. Monarrez, Jesse Enrique 6. Nistal, Cesar Augusto 7. Perez, Demecio Carlos 8. Reyes, Ramon 9. Vargas, Victor 10. Villa, Ruben

Many of the forms I fill out as a cop has no H- for hispanic option they leave you with the choices of black, white or indian. They want you to put white so when some unpopular stats come out they can say "hey the whites are just as bad". I should start indicating black on the forms so their plans will back fire on them.

Actually, H is not an option because when the information is entered into ACJIS/NCIC H is not an option. Our options for entering information are: Asian (A) Black (B) Native American (I) Unknown (U) white (W)
When NCIC changes THEIR system then OUR system can change and upgrade.

Should be Unknown then, they are not white. They could be Native American though -- Native South American or Native Central American ;D.

We had two funny incidents with the illegals last night.
1st- We received a complaint of a H/M hispanic male walking around in his underwear in the area of Beltline Rd and Betty St. I arrived on scene and did not have to pat him down too much and hooked him up after I got drunk from smelling his breath.
2nd- We received a complaint of another hispanic sleeping on the porch of a lady that thought she had swept her last mexican off of her porch the week before...She did not know that the south american pollon season was that long. She tried to wake him up and make him leave but he disagreed....after all these guys are "doing the jobs that Americans don't want to do".
Send them ALL back. Let us "stay the course" on immigration enforcement.
Needless to say it was a rather interesting night.

. Our options for entering information are:.... Do you work in the records division or dispatch? I feel bad for you if you do...... Both. If it gets entered we enter it. I have worked as a dispatcher, and a warrants clerk, now I am a communications officer. That translates into: dispatcher, warrants clerk, abandoned vehicle processer, skapegoat for the frustrated public, et al. One day I will tell the Mexican clown car story.

I have seen 18 pile out of one van that was only suppose to carry around 12-13. The coyote was driving and the Immigration folks did not want them as usual. So we.......never mind.
