There seems to be two kinds of people when it comes to politics.
Group 1: Those who are okay with the way things are and the direction in which we are headed. In fact, they work to keep things the same. They might complain about certain policy from time to time, but they will always vote and work to keep us down.
Group #2: The other kind is the group that is fed up. They want change. They realize what is happening in government is wrong and have the wisdom to know if we continue, future generations will suffer. These people are willing to come together and work for change. Real change. Not the change that involves keeping the same old politicians but hoping for better policies.
Are you in group #1 or 2?

No offense but this is a really poor grouping of people. In group #2 you are throwing together conservatives and liberals and they, obviously, have completely different ideas for which direction this country should be going and don't appear to be willing to work together. IMO, you might want to revise your grouping.

I meant to group Democrats and Republicans together. They are basically the same.

I'm not following. Are you saying that Democrats and Republicans are group 1?

my opinion....todays liberals and conservatives NEITHER are what they claim... a liberal is a person that favors personal liberty, the FF were flaming liberals, and they set down in written law our constitution, a conservative is a person that desires to conserve what they have and indeed after the constitution was written BOTH liberals and conservatives SHOULD support it as written because it confirms our natural right to liberty and its job is to PRESERVE that liberty for all future generations.
today BOTH "liberals and conservatives" are working hard to dismantle the constitution bit by bit by increasing the size of government and its reach into our personal lives.
that second group is ACCURATE, many people that would call themselves liberal or conservative recognize that as a group NEITHER of those sides are what they claim to be and BOTH sidfes have many people FED UP with the lies/corruption.

zoomixer,
Yes, that's what I'm saying. And if you disagree, you are in group 1.

zoomixer, Yes, that's what I'm saying. And if you disagree, you are in group 1. Wow. No if/and/buts, huh? The thing that doesn't seem to fit with what you're saying is the "These people are willing to come together and work for change." You've created a group of left-wing and right-wing people who are "fed up" and want change but I haven't seen any evidence of the left-wingers and right-wingers trying to work together. That's what has me confused by your statements.

You have been brainwashed into thinking a person must fall into the left-wing (dem.) category or right-wing (rep.) one. Some people fall into neither of these -- they are the Independents.

You apparently are not reading my post. The group you created with your original post would include people who fall into the left-wing and right-wing catagories and I'm taking issue with the fact that you think they are working together.

OK. I guess I don't understand what you are saying. I will try later to understand and then respond.

Don't bother. I was just being difficult for the sake of being difficult. I wanted to see what Blondie likes so much about doing that. ;D

Well, no, but since killer didn't specifically call out zoomixer in her original post, I guess we can contribute (if that is what we call it).
Throw out #1 and #2. I running in the 3rd party ;D. Seriously though, #2 fer me.
