If anyone was there tonight then you know what I mean when I say that Elton is AWESOME! Damn man, I spent some serious cash on those tickets and they were worth every penny. The guy is incredible.

I enjoyed the Crawfish boil way more than I could ever enjoy Elton John. But, glad you had a good time. Papa Roach was the best band there...they should've been the last act.

I enjoyed the Crawfish boil way more than I could ever enjoy Elton John. But, glad you had a good time. Papa Roach was the best band there...they should've been the last act. I really wanted to see Collective Soul and BNL, but we went to the Boil Friday night and I was already tired of the crowd. I knew it's be even worse Saturday. I've never seen so many 15 year olds making out as I did at the Crawfish Boil. To me, though, Elton is just one of those notorious people. He's been around a really long time and he's had so many great hits. My girlfriend kept saying, "I can't believe that's really him!" I think the only way we both would have been more impressed is if Elvis Presley himself had walked on stage. We were very close to the stage, too. Perfect seats. I would have really enjoyed Collective Soul and BNL, but the memories we'll have from seeing Elton were more worth it to us.

"Notorious"? Whaddya trying to say brandon? notorious - IN BRIEF: Unfavorably famous. ;D no·to·ri·ous [noh-tawr-ee-uhs]–adjective; publicly or generally known, as for a particular trait: a newspaper that is notorious for its sensationalism.

Collective Soul was pretty good. BNL wasf***in great! How'd you like the mudbugs? I wanted some really bad, but there was the issue with the rain that day. When I went a few years ago I sat down on the ground with my beer and plate and had at it. With the ground being wet, I figured it'd be hard to eat crawfish while holding a plate in one hand and a beer in the other. Maybe next year...

I love "Captain Fantastic & the Browndirt Cowboy". That's one of the greatest albums of all time.

Elton John? "It's like your son, going down, on me!"
(Wonder if that was the original lyric...)
Heh, heh...

Elton John? "It's like your son, going down, on me!" (Wonder if that was the original lyric...) Heh, heh... Well, at least you come by the name "Twista" honestly . Wait, lets insert that line into the song...it fits! Don't Let Your Son Go Down On Me
I can't light no more of your darkness All my pictures seem to fade to black and white I'm growing tired and time stands still before me Frozen here on the ladder of my life
Too late to save myself from falling I took a chance and changed your way of life But you misread my meaning when I met you Closed the door and left me blinded by the light
Don't let your son go down on me Although I search myself, it's always someone else I see I'd just allow a fragment of your life to wander free But losing everything would be your son going down on me
I can't find, oh the right romantic line But see me once and see the way I feel Don't discard me just because you think I mean you harm Yeah, yeah! He's warning this guy about the potential downfalls of homosexuality and encouraging him to help his son through this difficult time in life. Way to go Elton! Its all about context... You're still twisted .

Hands free beer drinking is great!

Yep Kevin, Elton does a community service that we should all be thankful for. LOL I do remember reading an interview with Elton from quite a few years back. He related that he was actually bi-sexual, but he didn't tell people because it was so fun to have the ladies try to "convert" him... What a crafty old dog... LOL

Elton does a community service that we should all be thankful for. LOL Seriously, the guy is a great performer. After all these years fo playing he still makes you, the customer, feel as if he's very proud to have you watching his performance. You know how some performers will get on stage and act like spoiled brats. Elton smiled the entire time he was playing as if it was the happiest day of his life. After every song he stood up and took bows, smiled, and waved to people in the crowd.

Yeah, I have to admit that I liked his earlier music. Why should you discontinue enjoying entertainment once you find out the sexual lifestyle of an individual? As long as the form of entertainment does not push something you are against, I have no issue with it. Now, if I found out he was a child molester, demon worshipper, any other form of degradation,well...there are limits!

I told my girlfriend that expected to see lots of "alternative lifestyle" people at the concert. Didn't see the first person that stood out as being strange. It was all guys with their wives and girlfriends. Some people even had their kids there; although, I have no idea why you'd spend $100 for a ticket for your 8 year old that couldn't care less about Elton John. This is one of my favorite videos. He sings a duet with Billy Joel. I was disappointed that he didn't play this one the other night. youtube.com/watch?v=-egRVH5HcTo

This is still Alabama ya know ;D. Seriously, Elton John's musical talent transcends his sexual preference. Now if it had been Sanjaya...anyway, I wouldn't think that Elton's "gayness" would attract any more gay people than your typical rock/pop star. Most people would likely just shrug their shoulders and murmur "so?".
