I have to ask this. I signed up with Sprint last November and it has been a nightmare ever since! I have had to fight with them EVERY MONTH since on getting my bill straight. I have free roaming and every month I get charged roaming! I would really like to know if anyone else out there has had the same problem. I am going to report them this weekend to the FCC. I have had it with them!

Sprint/nextel Sucks!!!!! I cant wait until my contract is up. When I bought my nextel the sales rep in gardendale told me that their service was one of the best in Birmingham with very few dead zones, I cant get a signal on practically any job I go to and I have been charged for minutes on the weekend that was supposed to be free. I'm switching to Verizon as soon as its up.

It would take to long to go into the problems that I have had with them. I have downloaded a complaint form from the FCC. I told them today that I had absolutely had it with them and that I am going to file a complaint with the FCC and my attorney and I intend to follow through! They are the WORST cell phone company that I have EVER dealt with! These people have NO clue what they are doing!

I have Cingular. I have never had a problem with coverage, and I get more minutes for less money than most services.

Me too...I have three numbers on one account, and since they gave me pooled minutes with rollover and free roaming, it's great... But if Cingular has the fewest dropped calls, I would sure hate to see who has more....

Cingular seems to really dislike SouthernLink. What I like is that I have a package with unlimited text to other Cingular subscribers.

If you have a flip- or slide-phone, you tend to get inferior coverage and more dropped calles. It has something to do with the way the phones are made.
I've had Sprint as my carrier since 1997.
And yes they can drive you nuts with their billing and coverage holes.
But, honestly, whenever I've had a problem it's been handled with all the speed one could ask for and in a courteous and professional manner. Their Customer Service, at least in my experience, is excellent.
I do wish that cell phone companies in general would do more to keep their current subscribers happy rather than focus all of their attention on getting new customers away from their competitors.
For instance, I had to find out from a friend that also has Sprint that you can get a new phone at the new subscriber price every two years. Spring never told me and, as a result, my wife was using a six year old phone that was so outdated that the store manager said she didn't know if she'd ever seen that style phone still working!

It's almost enough to make you gargle with Liquid Plumr.

Whats embarrassing is when your at a customers house and you have no signal, and make comments on how you don't have a signal to them.....then they hand you their Verizon phone and it has full bars.
Now the phone itself I think is indestructible, I have gotten so mad that I have thrown it a brick walls, dropped it in a bucket of water....and left it. It still works like new.

Well, Verizon doesn't work well here in Vestavia; I've got to go outside and walk to catch a signal on the damned thing. My Samsung cheapie I got with the contract: I've dropped it into a muddy creek and it worked just fine three days later.
