It is a Federal law that any broadcast media, including radio, serve the community. When the FCC license renewal comes up, we can write letters to the FCC explaining our displeasure.
"Sorry, Dale. You don't get a voice in this. I appreciate your view, but I refuse to listen to a station that takes off the only show I listen to anymore. I also will not support sponcers who allow this to happen. It is unjust, not only for you and Chris, but for the listeners.[/quote]"

The FCC has nothing to do with this. Crawford more than fulfills their FCC requirements.

Right, Dale,
The FCC doesn't have a say in who is liked or hired. The fact that any radio or TV station in the Central to North Alabama market fulfils their charge to serve the community is questionable to me. I have only known of two radio stations, in my nearly 35 years associated with broadcasting, that have lost their FCC license for failing to provide a positive service to their respective communities and they we're financially insolvent anyway with no hope of recovering.
Basically: If advertisers will buy it, it's working. Whether the station is full of fast talking, lying salespersons/managers or not; it doesn't matter to them anyway that nobody but the bottom-feeding, lazy-voting, low-budget spending idiots are most of what are listening. As long as they can "make a buck" the stations will be on the air.
It's all about money, People! It isn't about serving well and only selling what people will buy from ads...These people don't care. If Bob's Funeral Services wanted to buy the biggest rock station in Birmingham, they'd be on the air by tomorrow. It doesn't matter if the demos aren't supporting the product, It's a radio-dollar!
And that's all I have to say about that...........

I findthis hilarious. The station wanted listeners. The attack machine motivates discussion. Just because its not about Jehova, its badd. Real bad. well. Tighten up your belts. I reviewed your stations broadcast schedule and it sucks. I'm down in Panama City and we had the attack machine for a lot longer than 3 months. But we are the home (temporarily) of Girls GoneWild founder Joe Francis. Currently in our jail for some funny business. The attack machine is what it is. If your community isn't progreesive nough to support it, the advertisers will move on. Accept that. It's notthe show. Its the listeners. You all answering this forum are the minority. UNfortunately you didn't buy enough hondas or something else the radio station was pushing. Loved the Lunch at Dirty Dicks. Sorry to see you go, but you'll end up just like a bad penny. UP
