NOT saying it was lawman, just adding to the FACT that many callers had to be dumped because they used that word.
AND those dumped callers i am sure had complaints they wanted to be known.

"hunter was clearly raised by my generation and listened to older folks in his youth."
my generation is the baby boomers, i am 55 and hunter is 26 or 7. his grandmother is the generation BEFORE the baby boomers.
i posted what i meant "MY GENERATION" and that would be his parents NOT his grandparents.
simple stuff for people with basic intelligence."
I know you said you collect social security. I don't recall you ever stating your age, so I thought you were at least 65, which would put you easily in his grandparent bracket.
I think he is closer to 24-25 age range though. Either way, my comments, based on what I knew, were not racist.

kevin- It is not a "stereotypical comment" but a statistical fact and my comment was within that scope and context. With the sensitivity of the subject, you need to be more in depth than just making the statement "Well, he is black, so statistically, it's a good chance that he was raised by grandparents." It does come across as stereotypical on the surface, even with the words "so statistically". Remember, we live in a politically correct society where 3 words dominate the news in our nation as people are getting carbombed in another. Regardless of context, it was an unnecessary comment IMO.

I am not a politically correct person, nor will I ever succumb to that philosophy, regardless of the direction of the society. It's your opinion that it was unnecessary, which is fine, I differ on that.
I felt it was a valid observation within the context of the previous post's perception, that Hunter's colloquial choice of words were distinct. I chalked it up to the possibility that he was raised by his grandparents, which in my thinking, would be people of 65 and up currently, which statistically would be a reasonable bet, if I were a betting man, in Alabama.
The only person I have ever heard the term of, "feeling froggy, go ahead and jump", was from a black man around the age of 50, when I was in my early 20s. So, I could see him getting words from his grandparents.

skin color matters ONLY to "racists".....simple reality....people that do NOT consider skin color in looking at other people are NOT racists...people that DO consider skin color ARE racists. intelligent people grasp that we ALL are the same race, the human race and skin color makes no difference. Not entirely true. Race is considered in many situations, such as crime reports, etc. If I was mugged, wouldn't one of the questions be what race the assailant was? Or would I have to describe the perpetrator in other terms so that I may avoid being a racist? I know this is an extreme example, but one that shows you that race DOES matter in some instances. That being said, and aside, I think Hunter would be a valuable asset as a regular host. He probably offers a more middle of the road approach than any of the other hosts and would likely increase listeners.

kevin, I would agree with Hunter in that respect and made comments to that effect.

IF somebody asked what color is hunter then YES answering black would NOT in any way be racist....same for the police report.
NOBODY asked and his race has nothing to do with his ability to do a show OR with how he was raised.
the comment injecting his race WAS an opening to take a shot at the entire race with the "stat" mentioned, and THAT IS RACIST.
by the way i worked in direct supervision of william's brother for a couple of years, and know about how he was raised also....both are quality citizens that i consider to be friends.

Nobody asked because everybody knew.
My comment in relation to his race had nothing to do with his show or his ability to do the show, it had everything to do with a possible explanation for some of the figures of speech that he uses. Plain and simple. It's your issue that you took that extrapolation as being racist. Especially since, my comment neither declared superiority or inferred inferiority.
Since you know how he was raised, was he raised mainly by his parents or grandparents? Do you know that or not?

Damn, nearly every thread around here tuns into a train wreck.
Back on the topic...Hunter would make a great addition to the regular line-up. Hell, I'd start listening again if he were added. He needs a little touch up work on his voice and delivery, but nothing that he wouldn't pick up very quickly if he had a regular show.

billt, specifically went looking for a post after our "discussion" on the chat were he cussed at me and called me names in an incoherent manner, that's why this thread went south. He went looking for something to "expose" me on. He failed of course.
